The Barclay-owned company Shop Direct Ltd. is in trouble. More than £57.7 million in the red last fiscal year, writes the ES. The company, which owns Littlewoods, has never performed well. The Barclays acquired Littlewoods – another under-performer – in 2002 and inherited the billion pound claim against the HMRC.
